Giorgos Karamixos and Basilis Balas in the making of Matomena Homata in Mesta

On Sunday, March 8, the crew of director Kostas Koutsomitis and the actor George Karamihos have arrived at Mesta in order to film some of the episodes of the popular TV series "Matomena Homata", of ALPHA channel.

 

 

 

 

People in Old Church of Mesta

About 35 people, including technical staff, cameramen, actors and other workforce have settled in the medieval village of Mesta, where the most overwhelming scenes of the novel written by Dido Sotiriou will take place. More specifically, the tragic moments of the expulsion of the Greeks of Asia Minor from their mother land, will be filmed in Mesta.

The entire crew spent the first day of their arrival trying to get familiar with the sophistication of Mesta medieval village, since the first thing they asked for was a plan view of the medieval castle.

The residents of Mesta together with all the local businesses provided the crew with absolute hospitality and assistance in a form of subsidy to the production of the series.
