That might be the academic and historic Prespective as miss Elli explained. For us here in Mesta Chios the etching convntion was a celebration full of fun and creativity. Along with Prof. Sahini of Aristotelio University of Thessalonica, and Maria Gerrardi Passali artist and all the guests of Medieval Castle Suites in Mesta Chios we etched the weekend away. A lot of our guest created their first Masterpieces in Mesta and learned as much as possible about the different types of etching techniques. Locals andvisitors from any Chios Hotels are always welcome to our gatherings.

            Mr. Giannis Tsoutsas Director of Gallery of Macedonian Studies and Errica Goudensvager professor of University of Thessaly showed us how to etch with different tools and then how to print them. We might have been a bit tiring for all the professors but at the end of the day we created some good pieces and had a lot of fun with everyone.

            We thank you all for joining us and spending the time to show us and our guests the art of etching and we hope your dream of making a work shop in Mesta becomes a reality.
